Grandeur Link

Privacy policy

Updated 2026-11-02

About this policy

Grandeur Link connects your phone to your Mac on the same local network. This policy covers the Grandeur Link apps and their optional camera, microphone and Mac-sound features. For privacy or support questions, contact info@grandeurlink.com.

Screen, controls and meeting media

Your Mac screen and your keyboard, pointer and touch commands travel directly between your paired devices. If you turn on meeting features, your phone’s camera and microphone can be sent to your Mac, and Mac sound can be sent to your phone. These authenticated session streams are encrypted. Grandeur Link does not upload this content to a developer server or retain recordings.

Local discovery and saved pairing

Nearby discovery exposes the Mac’s advertised name on your local network. Initial pairing exchanges device identification before the encrypted session starts. Saved pairing records contain a random identifier, device name, connection details and a pairing secret. Apple versions store pairing secrets in Keychain; the iPhone’s records are device-only and do not sync through iCloud. Saved records remain until you forget the device. Uninstalling an app may not remove Keychain records.

Preferences and diagnostics

Layout, appearance and control preferences stay on your device. The iPhone keeps the latest small sound-health and screen-geometry diagnostic reports in its local cache. Reports contain timing, counters, audio-route types and screen measurements, not screen pictures, typed text, audio recordings or pairing secrets. They are overwritten as measurements change and can be removed from the iPhone’s Privacy policy page. Mac system logs can contain operational errors and aggregate media counters; macOS manages their retention. Grandeur Link does not automatically send diagnostics to us.

Permissions and your choices

Camera and microphone access is requested when you enable those features. They start off and stop when you leave the phone app or disconnect. Mac sound is optional. On Mac, Screen Recording permits screen and system-audio capture, and Accessibility permits remote controls. You can stop hosting, turn individual features off or revoke permissions in system settings. Forget a Mac on the phone and forget the phone in the Mac app to remove saved pairing on both devices.

Third parties and support

When you choose Grandeur Link Camera or Microphone in another app, that app controls how the received content is processed and shared under its own policy. Grandeur Link has no advertising or analytics SDK and does not sell data or track you across apps. If you email support, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. Send only the information needed to resolve your issue. Request deletion of support correspondence by emailing info@grandeurlink.com; some records may need to be kept to meet legal obligations.

Removing local data

Use Forget for each remembered device to delete its local pairing record. Clear local diagnostics removes only Grandeur Link’s two diagnostic cache files. App preferences can be removed by deleting the app’s local data. No Grandeur Link account or developer-hosted media library is created.

Policy updates

The date above identifies this policy version. Material changes to how Grandeur Link handles information will be reflected here and in the app. Contact info@grandeurlink.com with questions or requests.
